ABSTRACT

Transient or permanent diabetes insipidus (DI) may be hereditary or acquired. Impairment of the irrigation of the pituitary or hipoxia for severe hemorrhage is a uncommon situation. Symptoms of hypopituitarism are heterogeneous and impossible to predict, but DI frequently accompanies the insufficiency of anterior pituitary, being the selective or pure forms exceptional. We present a case of insufficiency pituitary due to massive hemorrhage postpartum in which the guide - signs were failure to lactate after parturition and poliuria(AU)
